Colorado Sessions Skits

My friend Andy and I decided that each episode of our Colorado Sessions project should begin with a skit.  We wanted these intros to be campy and home-made.  We though the low-budget feel of a horrible local commercial would be funny.

This project was a lesson in making a short film soup to nuts with virtually no help.  From storyline, to props, to scene storyboarding, filming and editing, we had to play duel roles of directing, acting and cameraman all at once.  It was a real challenge, but in the end I explored many videography skills including green screen, animation, camera angles, sound, writing and planning out shoots.

There were some tricky things I’m proud of  like the fact that I didn’t realize Andy’s broach was the same color as our green screen and so had to be excluded.  In the end I learned how much effort it takes to make something look low quality.
